Stupidity I

And I am pondering, I am:

In the realm of man there is no such thing as brilliance but rather varying levels of stupidity.

The least stupid individuals brand themselves as brilliant simply because there are no superior members to oppose them.

The aforementioned individuals herd their lesser minded brethren like cattle through the tactful manipulation of equally moronic individuals (e.g politicians), who are too stupid to understand they are being manipulated into submission. The best thing is that these carefully handled cattle drivers view themselves as above the average when they are usually stupider than the average person.

This way we are baaing our way through life in this bubbling cauldron of sheering idiocy, cosied by the blissful ignorance we are drowning into, all the while dancing to the strings of puppeteers a little less stupid than we are.

Isn't it just hilarious in an awfully sad way? I couldn't help laughing like a bloody madman while thinking of this...

I could go on for awhile but I risk people stoning me. Also, in my defense I thought of all this while on the toilet hence 'philosophical crap' seems a very fitting title indeed!!!

  3. Taking your opinion into serious toilet consideration, I remembered my ponderings about idiocy, the discovery of a deeper meaning in life and this fully protected by all kind of social norms truth-proof world we're living in.

After watching "Cube" a psychological thriller which deals with a survival game of a mentally retarded, a bright(-er) mathematician, a cop and a few other characters I was drawn into the following assumptions..The movie ends with only 1 survivor, the only one who managed to escape an impossibly difficult maze and this person was the mentally retarded...

Now what could this mean...Is it possible that the true answers to our wonderings, the "truth that is out there" is so complicated for our everyday perception that we are only capable of digesting it if in a condition of complete madness? In that case are we doomed to look "stupid" "idiots" "retarded" "mad" if we want to be able to fathom the true colours of this world we live in? I'm thinking of all these bright minds, scientists, artists, philosophers ect that must have taken this step beyond this fully delimited glass illusion we've created. Could it be true? Are we using only the 1/x (I don't quite remember) of our mind for a reason? Truth and knowledge do not come easily. They require some serious re-evaluation of what we perceive as standard indubitable and apparent.

So who is stupid and who is bright? What is the way to a full scale perception of our world? Why don't we doubt enough? Are we afraid of been called stupid? Are we afraid of questioning? Are we not capable of questioning?

Ps: I should really stop reading to your posts before visiting specific rooms of my place
Ps2: Sorry for my English :)

  4. What I believe is that the standard for stupidity and brilliance are defined by the powerful and forced on to us as a god-given law.

I would like to comment on the 'mentally retarded' remark. So who or what defined whether a person is mentally challenged? Just because he does not view everything as we do, or because his mind worked differently, did that make him a lesser human? Let me remind you that his was the only one that made it out while all the rest were chopped into mincemeat...

So it could very well be that he was the only truly brilliant one among a group of morons :D
